The bathroom/shower is fantastic
Great little cottage, very good location walking distance into Penryn itself and handy for parking. Enjoyed the wine and cream tea left upon arrival.
The bathroom/shower is fantastic. The house is cosy we had 3 young children so might not be suitable as you will be on top of each other however for a couple or if you don’t mind that its fantastic value for money.

Loved the welcoming gift
Looks small on arrival, but plenty of space inside. 2 good size bedrooms. The layout was great, good size kitchen area, loved the welcoming gift. Went down very well 😍. Loved the compact patio. Just wished the weather was better. Will use again. Love the area.

If you’re a fan of baths, this is the place for you
We had a nice time in Alex’s place. Check in was very easy. The twin beds are definitely more ideal for children than adults (we had two adults sleeping in them), but fairly comfortable anyway. There are a lot of rules to be followed in this place which I found mildly stressful so that may not suit everyone. The shower has no curtain which is isn’t massively necessary as the tub is huge, but just something for people to be aware of, especially as turning on the shower took some getting used to. If you’re a fan of baths, this is the place for you. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed having the little courtyard. It’s a 45 minute walk to Falmouth which we did a few times. You can taxi too for fairly cheap but it can be hard to get one later in the evening. Not an especially noisy street although you could hear cars going past if you were sat in the living room.

Such a conscientious host
Myself, my husband and our little 7 month old daughter enjoyed our first holiday as a 3 at Sorgente and would recommend. The cottage is cosy and nicely decorated with 2 bright bedrooms and a stunning bathroom. Penryn is a quaint little village and we enjoyed also venturing into Falmouth (a short 5 min drive) for early dinners. Organising a holiday during a pandemic with a baby wasn’t the easiest of tasks, and so it was reassuring Alex is such a conscientious host ensuring the property is equipped accordingly and guests respect the Covid rules.
Would fully recommend to anyone looking for a cosy cottage retreat!!

Easy access to the delights of West Cornwall
Penryn is a great little town just next to the bigger town of Falmouth. Everything you could want is on offer. Staying there is great value. Laid back. Good coffee. Good fish and chips. Grumpy fishmonger who sells the best local fish to cook in Sorgente’s well equipped kitchen. Alex’s place is very attractive and provides easy access to the delights of West Cornwall. There were a couple of problems during our stay. Alex was very responsive and has bathroom lights fixed professionally straight away. Impressive. For my partner the main bed was too short – anyone 6’ 2” and over should be aware of this. Heating was great and car parking easy for Cornwall.

Super clean and well equipped
Alex´s Cottage is super clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed the big bath tub / rain shower and the comfortable beds. Everything a little family could need is provided and we were very happy, that we didn’t had to bring towels and bed linen for example. The friendly host offered a lot of helpful tips and assistance.
The location is a great starting point to explore most of the beautiful hotspots in Cornwall’s southwest, such as St. Ives, Saint Michael‘s Mount and so on. The accommodation is also very close to Falmouth, where we visited the amazing Pendennis Castle.
We can totally recommend this place.

We had a great time at Sorgente cottage
The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighborhood the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Very clean and well equipped cottage
Tastefully done out with fantastic bathroom and shower. Really felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. Loved the Muddy Beach cafe just down the road.

We had a lovely stay at Sorgente
When we first arrived we noticed how well the cottage had been refurbished and also loved the welcome pack including wine, scones and fresh flowers. Our favourite part of the cottage had to be the bathroom with its waterfall shower and relaxing decor. Although we had our own car, Alex is very helpful with car hire if you need any. Overall we had a fabulous stay at Sorgente and have already discussed returning again in the future. Would highly recommend.

A lovely house close to Falmouth and Flushing
The house is beautifully decorated with a cute courtyard. There’s a lovely near on the Marina a short walk away. Alexs communication was great I’d highly recommend this house.

We had a great stay at the cottage!
As most people likely arrive in car, we were able to get parking right outside every night, which was very convenient. Great location for exploring Cornwall.

Sorgente is a lovely Cornish cottage with a mixture of period charm and contemporary facilities
The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to making this a home away from home. The neighbourhood is quite, but also very handy for transport links, both by road and rail. The town of Penryn is only a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed a great holiday with Sorgente as our base. Most definitely highly recommended. Thank you.

Sorgente was a well located and clean house to stay for our holiday
It was comfortable for our family – (2 kids 8 & 12.) The bathroom is lovely and spacious and the kitchen was pretty well equipped for the size. Really pleased as it was allergy free which is not always that easy to come across.

Lovely cosy stay, spacious for a couple
Very well maintained, luxury bathroom. Made to feel very welcome, even had a high chair out for us on arrival. Quick walk into penryn local shops or supermarket 1 mile away. We will definitely be back, thank you Alex

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sorgente over the New Year!
The cottage is delightful in every way: comfortable and modern, functional and welcoming, clean and cosy. It was exactly what we wanted in a wonderful area of Cornwall that we were able to explore despite the weather. We would love to come back in the summer and experience the loooooong days instead of the long nights. I am sure Sorgente would be equally as excellent! Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sorgente Cottage over the Christmas period
The cottage is exactly as described and we wouldn’t hesitate the stay again in the future. Alex ensured that we had all the information we needed and even arranged for a Xmas tree for our stay…thank you Alex! The cottage is close to the local shops and park and in a quiet area. Sorgente is a very nice appartment which is well-fitted and clean!
All rooms are comfortably furnished with modern amenities! Pennryn is a nice village with everything needed nearby and in the heart of Cornwall. Our tipp: Have a relaxed day at the St. Ives Bay beach near Hayle (search for Blue Bay Cafe)! Matthias and family.
